Debbie M. Lee

Deborah M. Lee is the founder and principal attorney of The Law Firm of Deborah Lee. Ms. Lee is licensed to practice law in the state of Ohio, where she has been a member since 2006.

She has been practicing immigration law since 2007 and has practiced in the areas of removal defense, political asylum, detention, consular processing, nonimmigrant visas, family and employment-based green cards, and naturalization. Ms. Lee has represented clients in Immigration Courts and USCIS offices in Ohio and throughout the whole country including New York, California, Florida, Texas, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Virginia. She is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Ms. Lee received her Juris Doctorate degree from Capital University Law School in June 2006. During law school, she worked as an intern for Magistrate Judge Arlander Keys in the U.S. District Court of the Northern District of Illinois and for the Ohio Department of Transportation. Ms. Lee also holds a M.A. degree from the Ohio State University, Department of Sociology where she worked as a teaching and research associate focusing on areas of juvenile delinquency, religion, and quantitative methods.

The practice of immigration law is career choice that has been shaped and flavored by the life experiences of Ms. Lee as a second-generation Korean-American whose parents immigrated to the United States and as a member of a local Korean church. She has seen the hardships that many foreign nationals experience in their journey of uprooting from their home country to move to a place where they can establish a new life for themselves and their families. Ms. Lee brings passion, integrity, and dedication to her clients and will work to help keep families together and give people the opportunity to pursue their dreams for a better life.
